What National restrictions in England mean.

People should stay at home where possible and should only travel to work if they cannot work from home.

Those who need to visit other people’s homes for their work can continue to do so. ie a chimney sweep!




I now have ENHANCED protection in place:


BEFORE coronavirus I always operated my business with strict regard to safety procedures which protect me as well as you and your property. I use appropriate sheeting to protect your flooring and proper dust control measures as standard.


Before our appointment:

• I ask you to confirm that everyone in your household is free of virus symptoms and that no-one is isolating for 14 days before the appointment date. I will confirm the same for our household. If anything changes before the appointment date, we will contact one another to rearrange.

At our appointment:

• Please ensure that the route to your chimney / fire is clear and there is adequate space for me to work. Clear out any ashes and move furniture and ornaments where possible.

• Please ventilate the room/s with open windows ahead of my visit where possible.

• I will enter your property wearing mask and gloves. These will remain on for the duration of the visit. I ask that you where a mask any time we spend in the same room.

• I will observe recommended social distancing and ask that you remain in another room during the sweeping process.

• I will issue a digital certificate via email as usual.

• Payment procedures remain the same, cash accepted but bank transfer preferred.

• Finally, I will remove gloves etc. and apply hand sanitiser and dispose of any consumables appropriately.

I regret I am unable to accept tea and biscuits at this time.
